TODAY: Rendell to Discuss New Ad Highlighting Pa. Factory Shuttered by Bush-McCain Economy
PHILADELPHIA — Gov. Ed Rendell will brief reporters in a conference call today on the Obama-Biden campaign’s new 30-second TV spot, “Sold Us Out.” The ad focuses on the story of a Corning Glass factory in State College that closed in 2004 when 1,100 workers there lost their jobs due to Bush-McCain economic policies. Pennsylvania has lost 78,200 jobs due to the United States’ ballooning trade deficit since President Bush took office.
