LOS ANGELES, CA June 25, 2008 -- Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures has acquired April Blair’s comedy pitch STILL YOU. “The Devil Wears Prada” and “27 Dresses” writer Aline Brosh McKenna will produce. Walt Becker who is directing and producing MGM’s “The Zookeeper” will also produce STILL YOU along with Jennifer Eatz of The Walt Becker Company. The announcement was made today by Mary Parent, Chairman, Worldwide Motion Picture Group, MGM.
STILL YOU tells the story of an unexpected appearance of a larger-than life ex-boyfriend who threatens to ruin a family vacation. Nominated for the BAFTA, WGA and USC Scripter Award for her outstanding work on “The Devil Wears Prada” screenplay, McKenna will make her producing debut with STILL YOU.
Cale Boyter, Executive Vice President, Production and Becky Sloviter, Vice President, Production will oversee the project for MGM.
“We've loved working with Walt and Jennifer and have been dying to get into business with Aline and April for a long time,” said Sloviter. “This is a smart and funny idea with three terrific lead roles and we feel very fortunate to be working with this incredibly talented team.”
