Lamar, Missouri - THE OUTHOUSE, a 5 minute short about a 60 year old woman and her backyard outhouse, will premiere at the 2008 Slamdance Film Festival.
Directed by Jack Truman, OUTHOUSE will be part of Slamdance's $99 Special Short Block on Jan. 25th in Park City. Select Slamdance alumni were given $99 to make a 5 minute short.
"We're thrilled to return as part of the Slamdance family", stated Truman. "It's great to know that there's a demand for truly underground, alternative cinema. With these shorts, I hope to open people's minds and show them that in this world, nothing is as it seems. Most of the time, people are nothing like you think they are."
OUTHOUSE is the long-awaited follow-up short to Truman's award-winning hit short PHONE SEX GRANDMA, which premiered to standing-room audiences at the 2006 Slamdance Film Festival. Since its hit premiere, GRANDMA has played over 20 fests to date. It will coincide with OUTHOUSE in Park City, playing the 2008 Tromadance Film Festival.
