Actors Expo Brings Entertainment Industry Leaders to Texas

Texans aspiring for a successful career in the entertainment industry need look no further. Actors Expo, the premier forum bringing industry leaders and aspiring talent together, visits the lone star state on Saturday, January 19, 2008, at the San Pedro Playhouse, and Sunday, January 20, 2008, at ACC's Rio Grande Campus Main Stage. Those interested in pursuing or continuing a career in entertainment will learn first-hand what it takes to become a success by attending Actors Expo.

Actors Expo tackles the hard-hitting questions through panel presentations with film and television heavyweights covering a variety of subjects. Presentations include up-close and personal discussions with:

Host Mario Lopez ("Extra," "Dancing with the Stars," "Saved by the Bell"): "How to get started as an actor and to land a part."

Director Renny Harlin, ("The Covenant," "Die Hard 2," "Cliffhanger,"): "How an actor can fulfill the director's vision."

Agent Nick Reed, Vice President of Hollywood's prestigious International Creative Management (ICM): "Ask an Agent"

Producer Kia Jam of Capitol Films ("Who's Your Caddy?", "Lucky Number Slevin," "The Jacket"): "How to take it to the big screen."

Following the panel discussions, there will be an open period for questions and answers moderated by KENS 5 and KVUE's very own news anchors.

Actors Expo, created by Paolo Sadri, first debuted in Florida in 2006. "The Actors Expo provides San Antonio and Austin a solid venue to learn more about what it takes to succeed in the show business industry," said event organizer, Sadri. "There is no other event around that provides this caliber of talent offering their first-hand experiences on acting, scouting, producing and representing. Learn from people who have experienced the trials, tribulations and successes that come with these careers."

The event visits San Antonio at the San Pedro Playhouse on January 19, from 3:00pm-5:30pm and in Austin at ACC's Rio Grande Campus on Sunday, January 20 from 1:30pm-4:00pm. Registration is available online for $30 based on availability. VIP tickets can be purchased for $50 and includes a meet and greet with the celebrity panel.
