AMA SUPERMOTO RACING RETURNS TO TEXAS

The Armadillo Supermoto will host round eight of The AMA Supermoto Championship November 2-3 at Moody Gardens on Galveston Island.

Supermoto is one of the fastest growing forms of professional motorcycle racing. Racers who battle for victory use a combination of skills from a variety of racing styles. Track layouts are unique, as the track consists of both paved and dirt surfaces with right and left hand turns. Tracks also include technical metal ramps called the Parts Unlimited Urbancross. Riders from all racing backgrounds will line up on Friday and Saturday braving these elements, which makes this sport one of the most thrilling disciplines of motorcycle racing for both spectators and racers around the world.

In conjunction with the AMA Supermoto Race, the 6th annual Lone Star Rally will be held at the Galveston Convention Center all weekend. The Lone Star Rally will feature a wide variety of festivities for all ages. On Friday, Supermoto amateur promoter practice begins at 10:00am while Supermoto pro promoter practice starts at 2:00pm. During the evening Sport Bike Night will kick off at 6:00pm with a live concert from porterdavis follow by The Mother Truckers at 8:00pm.

On Saturday AMA Supermoto racing begins at 9:30am, with Kissinger playing a live concert at 1:00pm. Opening ceremoneies and main event racing starts at 4:00pm. Following the racing action, Bonnie Bishop and J.T. Coldfire will perform to round out the evening.

The Roots Music Association is proud to be a sponsor of the Armadillo Supermoto. AMA Supermoto and RMA share the same vision in creating an exciting atmosphere for all to enjoy. "We are happy to showcase up and coming independent artists to the large audiences that attend AMA Supermoto events. The exposure that this sponsorship opportunity will grant to the performing artists is invaluable." explained RMA founding director Robert Bartosh.
