Legendary Guitarist Dave Mason and Bluesman John Mayall Bringing the Blues to Spotlight 29 Casino

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Mason has been racking up group and solo hits for more than 40 years. John Mayall's legendary Bluesbreakers launched the careers of some of the greatest musicians of our time. Now, you can see them both: two concerts, one stage, one amazing night at Spotlight 29 Casino.

Dave Mason has been hailed by critics as one of rock's greatest guitarists ever. Born in Worcester, England, Mason first found rock fame in the band Traffic. Since then, he has played and recorded with many of rock's most respected musicians including Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. Perhaps Mason's best known song comes from his Traffic days, 1968's "Feelin' Alright," which has been covered by countless artists. His biggest solo hit, 1977's "We Just Disagree," continues to be widely heard on radio to this day.

John Mayall is widely considered to be the godfather of British blues. Born in England in 1931, Mayall pioneered the British blues boom of the late 1960s, having taught himself the basics of guitar and boogie-woogie piano by age 14. Mayall formed the Bluesbreakers in 1964 and released his first single, "Crawling up a Hill." The following year, he hired Eric Clapton, and the landmark "Bluesbreakers" album broke into the UK charts, putting Mayall on the musical map. Since then, Mayall has played with and influenced musicians around the world. In 2001, he released "John Mayall and Friends -- Along for the Ride," his 51st album, a 40th anniversary collection of his long career.

Show time for Dave Mason and John Mayall and the Bluebreakers is 8 p.m. Tickets are $30, $35 and $40 and are available now at Spotlight29.com and at the Spotlight 29 Casino Gift Shop or by calling (800) 585-3737.
