L Y N C H, a documentary about iconic film director David Lynch, is set to premiere at The Marche du Film in Cannes on May 24, 2007.
The film is an intimate exploration of the mind behind such classic films as "Eraserhead," "The Elephant Man," "Blue Velvet," "Wild At Heart," and "Mulholland Drive."
Compiled from over two years of footage, the director of the documentary immersed himself in David Lynch's world; living and working at Lynch's home. His unobtrusive style has captured a personal side of David Lynch that audiences have not seen before. The film is a fascinating and detailed portrait of Lynch's creative process and does not shy away from the struggles that even the established filmmaker must face as he embarks on his latest film, "INLAND EMPIRE." The director, credited on the film as "blackANDwhite," states, "My goal is to present to the world the unique experience of being with David Lynch for a prolonged period of time, watching him as he creates on a day-to-day basis."
L Y N C H will screen at Cannes' 2007 Marche du Film on May 24, Palais K, 4pm.
