KushTV, the first high definition video network for online, mobile and digital cable platforms, today announced that it will launch an original broadband series, titled, "The Loc Dog Show" featuring the band Korn.
Scheduled to air this summer starting Monday, July 23, 2007 in the form of 30 webisodes, KushTV will show webisodes every Monday and Thursday at Noon on their platform. Loc Dog, who is the host and has been Korn's security and executive assistant for over 10 years, will show fans raw and uncensored exclusive backstage footage from "The Family Values World Tour". "The Loc Dog Show" is based on Loc and his life with Korn on the road.
"It was a natural fit for us to partner with KushTV," said Loc Dog. "The site is about entertainment and Korn's lifestyle. They are the best at what they do and we are proud to be associated with them."
"This tour is a celebration and we are excited that it can be documented and shown to our fans at KushTV," said Jonathan Davis, Korn's lead singer. "We're enabling the viewers to share our life on the road and get the exclusive backstage action after the show and even a few surprises."
This represents the first time KushTV has joined with a major rock band of this caliber to bring exclusive content to its audience of a few million unique users per month.
"This partnership signals that the Internet has become a robust entertainment destination where compelling types of content coexist," said Aaron Justin, EVP of Business Development of KushTV. "Working with a premiere band such as Korn who can pack a venue of about 14,000 people and is at the forefront of entertainment enables us to combine the best of both worlds to create the finest programming experience for our audience."
KushTV currently has branded channel partnerships with Myspace TV, Helio, Joost, YouTube, Akimbo and will release more interactive high definition programming in the forthcoming months.
