Michael Jordan and his wife, Juanita were divorced friday after 17 years of marriage.
The couple issued a statement through their lawyers saying that 'Michael and Juanita Jordan mutually and amicably decided to end their 17 year marriage.A judgment for dissolution of their marriage was entered today. There will be no further statements.'
The couple cited 'irreconcilable differences' in court documents filed on friday.
This isn't the first time the two have been headed for splitsville. Juanita Jordan previously filed for divorce in 2002, but withdrew her petition a month later when the couple decided to reconcile.
But there are no hopes for reconciliation this time around because the couple believe that any attempts at reconciliation 'would be impractical and not in the best interests of the family.'
The Jordans who have lived seperately since February were married in 1989 in Las Vegas. And according to court documetns, will share joint custody of their three children.
No word on whether the couple have a pre-nuptial agreement.
