Dr. Pensak, an internationally known leader of computer software technology and innovations, launches a worldwide speaking tour. For over thirty years, David Pensak PhD, did research at Dupont in Wilmington, Delaware. While working with the company's permission, he founded Raptor Systems, the computer software security company that developed and brought to market the first commercially successful Internet firewall. He also founded Authentica, which was subsequently acquired by storage giant, EMC. Along the way, he developed several seminal technologies, which helped make Digital Rights Management (DRM) viable.
Dr. Pensak who is highly respected both domestically and internationally has degrees from Princeton University (A.B.) and Harvard University (A.M. and PhD) and has served as a Senior Fellow at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Pensak has lectured on Innovation at such powerful corporations such as Microsoft and Dupont and at top universities as Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, University of Delaware, University of Vermont, Stanford, Berkeley and dozens of major conferences both domestic and international.
In addition to taking his innovation insight across America, he has been asked to speak globally in countries such as Jordan, Switzerland, Malaysia, Dubai and Brazil, to name a few. On January 16, 2008, Dr. Pensak will be traveling to Amman Jordan where he will be the lead speaker at the George Washington University sponsored Technology Executive Seminar. His speech will comprise of teaching aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs how to launch a business around an idea utilizing his Innovation concepts.
Dr. Pensak is a prolific and successful innovator. He has over thirty-eight patents and applications being prepared in areas ranging from computer security, to agricultural chemistry, to solid-state physics, to business process modeling, to new ways of cooking pizza and faster ways to bring orchids into flower.
Pensak's experience in the science of Innovation dates back over thirty years when he joined the research staff at E.I. Dupont de Nemours where he remained a critical force in their creative achievements until he retired in 2004 (as their Chief Computer Scientist).
He then joined the faculty at the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he developed and taught a course on 'Innovention'. He left Wharton in 2006 to write a book about Innovation, co-written by Elizabeth Licorish. The book is being shopped to publishers at this time.
To add to his already highly impressive resume, Dr. Pensak teaches and does research at the George Washington University School of Law's CREATIVE AND INNOVATIVE ECONOMY CENTER, and the University of Delaware School of Business. He sits on the boards of several non-profit organizations.
He is also the founder of Vi Laboratories, which provides software protection solutions that secure valuable applications against piracy, tampering and code theft.
