COMEDY CENTRAL Records has added musical comedy powerhouse Hard 'n Phirm to its roster with their debut album, "Horses and Grasses." The record will be available for download to own from iTunes, eMusic and other major download sites on Tuesday, December 18.
"Horses and Grasses" contains songs about various bizarre and eclectic topics including how the coronary system works (in Spanish!), a musical homage to the numeric value of Pi and a celebration of America's original heroes, the dinosaurs.
Hard 'n Phirm (Chris Hardwick and Mike Phirman) began performing at UCLA in 1994, but broke up, only to reform 7 years later. The duo has had a huge online following with the success of their song "Rodeohead" (a bluegrass-style medley parody of covers of Radiohead) and began performing regularly at Improv, the Punch Line, the Aspen Comedy Festival, Seattle's celebrated Bumbershoot Festival, SxSW and Coachella. Their television credits include "Jimmy Kimmel Live," COMEDY CENTRAL's "Premium Blend," appearances on MTV and VH1's "I Love the [insert Generation X Demographic Era]."
Previously released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: Grammy Award-winning, "Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance," Dane Cook's platinum-selling "Retaliation," "Jim Gaffigan: Beyond The Pale," "Mike Birbiglia: Two Drink Mike," D.L. Hughley's "Notes From The GED Section," Todd Barry's "Falling Off The Bone," Mitch Hedberg's "Mitch All Together" and "Strategic Grill Locations," Dave Attell's "Skanks For The Memories" and Jim Breuer's "Smoke 'n' Breu."
