The application is not simply a lead generation device embedded within Facebook, it is deeply integrated into the Facebook platform to allow easy use. Indie Films allows Facebook users to browse, search, rate, review and watch a wide-variety of professionally-produced independent films and television, all without leaving the Facebook interface. Indie Films users who want to download full HD-quality copies of films can do so from within Facebook, through Dovetail's innovation: real-time control of a desktop client within a Facebook application. With just a couple of clicks, Indie Films users can install a peer-to-peer client, add films to their download queue, watch progress and plan HD-quality downloads....all enabled through the desktop client and all controlled from within Facebook.
