TV Comedy Idols Gabe Kaplan and Murray 'The Unknown Comic' Langston Coming to Spotlight 29 Casino

Fall down laughing this October when TV comedy idols Gabe Kaplan and Murray "The Unknown Comic" Langston turn the Spotlight Showroom on its ear! Appearing as part of All Star Poker Weekend, Kaplan and Langston are performing their hilarious acts on Friday, October 12.

The concert is part of Spotlight 29 Casino's All-Star Poker Weekend, where Kaplan and Langston will be playing alongside UFC Champion Ken Shamrock, Football Hall of Fame inductee Deacon Jones, sports legend Bo Jackson, and lightweight boxing champ Jorge Paez, Jr. in the All-Star Poker Challenge on October 13 and 14.

A sadly rejected baseball player turned successful touring comedian, Kaplan created and starred in the ABC top ten hit "Welcome Back Kotter" and later starred in three feature films, "Fast Break," "Tulips," and "Nobody's Perfect."

Kaplan is also a legitimate poker player, first playing professionally in 1978. In 2004, he placed third in a World Poker Tour event, and in 2005, he scored a second place finish in a World Series of Poker Limit Hold 'Em event. Kaplan was also the voice of the World Series of Poker for ESPN in 2002, and did the on-air commentary for NBC's first-ever "Heads-Up Poker Championship."

Langston first rose to national acclaim on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In," where he was seen doing hilarious impressions of a fork, a tube of toothpaste and a grandfather clock, and he later became a regular performer on "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour," where he made more than 100 appearances. Later, in a lucky fluke, he appeared bag-headed as The Unknown Comic on "The Gong Show," and the character became an overnight international sensation.

Langston has also had a successful film career, penning the screenplays for the films "Night Patrol"(1984), "Up Your Alley" (1988), and "Wishful Thinking" (1997).
