Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Releases 'Stardust' and 'Good Omens' Scents to Benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (BPAL) has released a series of 5 fragrances inspired by "Stardust," the extraordinary, haunting fairy tale by renowned author Neil Gaiman. Scents such as "Fairy Market" and "The Witch Queen" are based on the characters, locations, ideas and dreams found within the pages of the beloved tale. "Stardust," the motion picture based on Mr. Gaiman's story, was directed by Matthew Vaughn and features Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DeNiro, and Charlie Cox. It is being released in the US on August 10th.

Proceeds from every bottle sold go to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1986 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of First Amendment rights for members of the comics community.

"Good Omens," the classic apocalyptic comedy collaboration between Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, is the inspiration for another fragrance series. Favorite characters such as "Crowley" and "Aziraphale" are brought to life through scent.

Proceeds from every bottle from the "Good Omens" collection is split evenly between the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and the Orangutan Foundation UK, which works to actively preserve orangutan habitats while supporting long-term research projects that benefit orangutans.

These two fragrance lines join "The Carousel," a series of seven fragrances based upon favorite characters from two of Gaiman's most popular novels - "Anansi Boys" and "American Gods." To date, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has raised over $15,000 for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund through sales of the Carousel series.

The collaboration between artistic visionaries is always an exciting and thought-provoking endeavor. Rarely, if ever, though, have modern literary characters been so lovingly and accurately interpreted by a skilled perfumer. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's interpretations of Gaiman's colorful and thoroughly unique characters are, like the characters themselves, creative masterpieces and not to be missed.

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab specializes in formulating intriguing, compelling body and household blends with a dark, romantic, and sexual tone. Their scents run the aesthetic gamut of romance era, Renaissance, Medieval and Victorian formulas, pagan and mythological blends, and horror / Gothic-themed scents. They have over two decades of experience in the field, and their joy is their work. All of their products are hand-blended in their laboratory.
