Julie DeHarty, a traffic reporter for KVIL and KRLD radio stations in Dallas, underwent surgery today at Methodist Dallas Medical Center to treat injuries she sustained when a TV news helicopter lost power early Monday, July 30, forcing its pilot to make an emergency landing that injured all three people on board. Two other passengers were treated at Methodist Dallas Medical Center and released. Ms. DeHarty sustained injury to her head and neck. She is currently recovering from surgery and in stable condition.
