Fall Out Boy announces that due to personal issues beyond the band's control, the first few weeks of The Honda Civic Tour have been delayed. These shows will be rescheduled to the end of the tour.
Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz says, "Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, we are planning on this being the biggest and best Fall Out Boy show that we could possibly have. Unfortunately, because of some personal issues we had to delay the tour a few weeks. We want to put on the best possible show we can and know that this extra couple of weeks will give us the time to put ourselves in the right place to put on the best show we can. The shows from the earlier part of the tour will be rescheduled to the end but all tickets will be honored for all moved shows. Again we apologize. Our fans really mean the world to us and I promise the wait will be well worth it."
The only show that could not be rescheduled due to routing conflicts is the Sacramento show. Ticket holders for the Sacramento show can refund their tickets and can also re-buy tickets for the Concord date at point of purchase. Tickets may also be exchanged at Concord box office night of show for comparable price level, subject to availability. Refunds for all rescheduled shows will be given at point of purchase.
Over the last six years, the Honda Civic Tour has become one of the music industry's hottest tours by putting fans in touch with their favorite artists at moderate ticket prices while promoting environmental consciousness. Known for the most dynamic artists and entertaining stage productions, this year's Honda Civic Tour is no exception. With this year's all-star line-up, fan's are in for a wild summer!
INFINITY ON HIGH, the long-awaited new album by Fall Out Boy, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart in February on first week combined sales of 259,674 units. The release was also the #1 Digital Album, with digital sales of 27,939 units.
The new album exploded on the strength of "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race," the first single pick. The new single "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" has already taken off at radio (#1 Most Added in its first week) and the video has already been added to MTV, MTV2, MTVHits and MTVU.
INFINITY ON HIGH is the follow-up From Under The Cork Tree, Fall Out Boy's Island debut, which has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide since its release in May 2005. The new album reunites the group with longtime A&R executive Rob Stevenson, along with Neal Avron, who produced, recorded and mixed Cork Tree. The new album also finds Fall Out Boy working with megastar hitmaking R&B producer Babyface for the first time.
After winning the coveted MTV2 Award in 2005 (for their first Island single, "Sugar, We're Going Down"), Chicago's Fall Out Boy - Patrick Stump (vocals/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Troh man (guitar), and Andy Hurley (drums) - picked up their second consecutive moonman this past September, when the video for their second Island single ("Dance, Dance") won 2006's MTV VMA Viewers Choice Award. They also received last year's Grammy nomination in the highly competitive Best New Artist category.
