This past weekend I was browsing through the bookstore when I spotted a new book about Anna Nicole Smith. My first instinct was, oh no, another tabloid type book about the already overexposed Anna Nicole Smith! However my curiosity got the better of me and I picked it up and began to scan the pages. The few pages I read were interesting enough that I purchased the book. Two days later I was still unable to put this book down. It’s authored by Anna’s beautiful half sister Donna Hogan. I was impressed with her honesty, candor and no holds barred viewpoints in this book. These two sisters had a rough childhood which ultimately led to molding their adult lives and decisions both sisters made.
This book will indeed answer many of the questions all of us have about the mystery of Anna Nicole Smith and her early death. Her sister Donna shares both the good and the bad about Anna. I sensed a sister bond present even though they had been estranged for a few years. I admire her strength in telling this difficult story. Once you read the book you will gain respect for Donna and perhaps feel a little sorry for Anna and the difficulties she went through.
If you have the slightest interest in learning the true story of Anna Nicole Smith then this is your book. I give it 5 stars for its dynamic and brutally honest writing. You won’t be to stop reading this book once you start and it will remain on many coffee tables for years to come.
