Los Angeles, September 18, 2006 – We don’t know about you, but “country western” is the first thing that pops to mind when people talk about the CW, the new television network born from the merger of the WB and UPN. With parents in showbiz, you get a leg up, and the CW kicks off with a host of returning hit shows like "Veronica Mars", "Smallville" and "Gilmore Girls".

The proud parents celebrated the CW with a giant hoedown – that danged country western reference again – at daddy’s office, the Warner Bros. backlot. They decorated with a gender-free color scheme in green, to match the fledgling network’s logo.

Linda Blair, the actress who played the little girl in "The Exorcist", was at the bash, and thought photographers were mocking her head-spinning scene when they asked her to pose “over the shoulder”. “Ha ha. Funny”, she snapped. (Did she think all of the green at the party was a swipe at her famous projectile vomiting?) Blair will be making a guest appearance on the CW’s "The Supernatural", opposite Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.

"Veronica Mars" star Kristen Bell brought her boyfriend Kevin to the party, and "America’s Next Top Model" host Tyra Banks was 45 minutes late.
