How Celebrity Socialite Eric Schiffer Maintains His Lifestyle on Vacation

When a socialite goes on vacation in a third world country, how does he maintain his lavish Hollywood lifestyle? That was not an issue for celebrity Eric Schiffer who recently spent three weeks in the exotic country Brazil. "I knew that to get to the famed nightclubs such as 'Nuth Lounge' in Rio de Janeiro we had to travel some roads that were considered not so safe," said Mr. Schiffer. "So I did the unusual, for me, and hired two bodyguards and an armored car to navigate safely back to town during the late hours. I learned that people look at you differently when you're are traveling with bodyguards dressed in Armani with bulletproof vests, as compared to the usual paparazzi flashes that are going off. The locals thought I was now a politician rather than a celebrity," he smiled.

Eric Schiffer, in Brazil for a much-needed vacation after being spotted in all the Hollywood nightspots leading up to it, visited all his favorite top restaurants. That included "Marius," and "Antiquarius." Of course Mr. Schiffer traveled to Brazil for the best steak or "poquenia," a specialty of steroid- free beef from cows that are massaged daily, resulting in the smoothest melt- in-your-mouth taste sensation. We're sure that explains why stars frequent these places including Sting, U2, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

While there, Mr. Schiffer also made time for recreational activities such as trekking through the Brazilian rainforest and skydiving off a mountain. "One of my highlights was visiting the famed Corcovado statue of Christ set high atop a mountain, which in my opinion should be one of the seven wonders of the world," said Mr. Schiffer. "I love going to Brazil -- the food is superb, the people are beautiful, and the locals are genuinely friendly. It's always been one of my favorite places in the world."

On his first week back in Hollywood, USA, what did Mr. Schiffer do? He was seen, naturally, on the celebrity-filled red carpets for the book launch celebration of "Dating, Mating and Manhandling: The Ornithological Guide to Men," at Chocolat Restaurant and Bar, and the Lint Roller Party to benefit Best Friends Animal Society at Smashbox Studios on Thursday. And on Friday, Mr. Schiffer was again on the red carpet for the Hollywood Covered magazine launch party at Falcon Nightclub where he partied with Adam Carolla, who is on this month's cover.

Eric Schiffer authored the best-selling book "Emotionally Charged Learning." His next book "Rockstar Entrepreneur" is slated for a spring release. Schiffer, the celebrity author, actor just signed to star in the soon-to-be-produced motion picture comedy co-starring TK Carter (Showtime's The Corner, Dr. Detroit).
