This summer hundreds of street and studio dancers from across America and around the globe will come together in Los Angeles for the 2006 USA and World Hip Hop Championships. Dance crews from 25 nations including China, Japan, Brazil, South Africa, Trinidad & Tobago, New Zealand, Philippines and others will serve up old school and new school moves in two minute performances hoping to take home the world title and international bragging rights.
Qualifying rounds for the USA Championships begin Thursday, July 27. All medallists and up to the first six placing crews will advance to represent the USA in the World Championships July 29 and 30. Added this year to the USA and World Hip Hop Championships is the World Bboy/Bgirl Battle for crews of 4-6 members - this will take place on Friday, July 28.
The four days of events include panel discussions with some of the most respected living legends and icons of hip hop dance as well as workshops featuring old school and new school's most celebrated dancers and choreographers. Above all your crews will meet and network with others from around the world who are equally passionate about the hip hop culture and dance.
