Authorities in the U.S. have teamed with investigators in Canada, Australia and Great Britain to bust an international child pornography ring. At least 27 people have been charged as a result of the sting operation.
Federal agents have arrested people across the United States including suspects in Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, New York, North Carolina and Tennessee. The investigation began in Canada.
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is expected to hold a news conference later Wednesday afternoon to give more specific details on the charges. Gonzales has indicated the Justice Department would concentrate on stopping crimes against children including online pornography.
