New York, June 6, 2006 – For 38 years, the Museum of Modern Art has been annoying its neighbors with its annual Party in the Garden, and Tuesday was the 2006 version. 54th Street residents peering out their windows may have glimpsed Sarah Jessica Parker or Jerry Seinfeld and his wife, Jessica. The DJ music and dancing paused around 11 P.M., when Grammy-winning R&B artist John Legend took the stage for a live set. The crowd was a mix of the young and beautiful and the (slightly) older and much richer, and happy partygoers began staggering out after the performance.
We wondered if a collaboration was in the works when we caught designers Michael Kors and Cynthia Rowley in a powwow, but it seems they were just chatting. (No, we don’t know why Rowley’s dress was shiny.)
