Pop singer George Michael says that his boyfriend has not problem with him cruising for anonymous sex and that the civil ceremony between the two will take place as soon as the media circus surrounding his actions dies down a bit.
The former 'Wham!' front man has been dating boyfriend Kenny Goss for ten years and says his cruising has never been an issue. 'I've got no issue with cruising. I've talked about it many times. It's never been an issue between us,' Michael insisted.
The singer was recently caught engaged in sexual activity with an unemployed van driver in part of London last week.
Michael says this has no effect on the couple and their future plans. 'We had a lovely tenth anniversary party,' Michael said in a British television interview. 'My present to him was a million quid so I think I should get away with so-called fooling around with 'Bernard Manning.' I've no idea who that guy was but thank-you very much, whoever he was.'
Michael said that despite published reports to the contrary, his commitment ceremony with Goss will go ahead once the media furor over his recent 'tryst' dies down.
'We knew with all the rubbish between us that we couldn't get a private wedding, so we have postponed it. I don't want people to think my life is troubled when it's not. I'm a man who has been successful for 25 years.'
He added: 'There can't be shame unless the people involved are ashamed and I'm certainly not that.'
Michael is scheduled to begin his first tour in 15 years later this summer.
