Actor Daniel Baldwin Hurt In Car Crash

Actor Daniel Baldwin was injured after speeding and hitting two parked cars on a Los Angeles street according to police. The police report says that Baldwin was driving his Ford Thunderbird at more than 80 miles per hour when he crashed it into two parked cars.

Baldwin was taken to UCLA Medical Center with complaints of back and neck pain was but not believed to be seriously injured according to Officer Jason Lee, a spokesman for the LAPD. The police also indicated that a female passenger who was with Baldwin at the time of the accident, accompanied him to the hospital. She was not injured in the crash.

Officer Lee also indicated that Baldwin was driving with a suspended license at the time of the accident. The police indicated they would forward the case to the city attorney's office with a recommendation that the actor be charged with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license. Both are misdemeanors.

According to Lee, officers saw Baldwin speeding and weaving in and out of traffic on the west side of Los Angeles shortly before the accident. They say Baldwin ran a red light shortly before the accident. One of the cars he hit, a Hummer, was pushed 20 feet by the impact of the accident.

The 45-year-old Baldwin is best known for his work in the film, 'Car 54, Where Are You?' and 'Vampires.'
