18 Feature Films and Three Series From Sundance Channel Available On Google Video


Sundance Channel and Google have an entered a relationship making eighteen feature films and three series from Sundance Channel available to purchase or rent on Google Video. Google Video is the first video marketplace enabling consumers to watch, share, buy and rent a wide range of video content. Sundance Channel content will be available at http://video.google.com/sundancechannel.

'We are excited to offer fans of Sundance Channel's original series and feature films an innovative way to watch our content,' said Christopher Barry, Sundance Channel Vice President, Digital Media and Business Strategy. 'We look forward to increasing our offering of high quality independent entertainment to reach those viewers seeking something different.'

Titles that can currently be found on Google Video include The Dupont and Peabody Award-winning documentary series 'The Staircase' (2004) directed by Jean-Xavier De Lestrade, The GLAAD Award-winning Sundance Channel Original series 'TransGeneration' (2005) directed by Jeremy Simmons and produced in association with MTVN's LOGO, Peter Fonda's directorial debut The Hired Hand (1971), and Bob Odenkirk's Melvin Goes to Dinner (2003). Available titles also include The Sleepy Time Gal (Christopher Münch - 2001), Amy's O (Julie Davis - 2001), Scotland PA (Billy Morrissette - 2001), The Slaughter Rule (Alex Smith and Andrew J. Smith - 2002), Searching for Paradise (Myra Paci - 2002), The Heart of Me (Thaddeus O'Sullivan 2002), The Other Side of the Bed (Emilio Martínez Lázaro 2002), AKA (Duncan Roy 2002), Rick (Curtiss Clayton 2003), Seeing Other People (Wallace Wolodarsky 2004), Soho Square (Jamie Rafn 2000), The Tesseract (Oxide Pang Chun 2003), Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself (Lone Scherfig 2002), Book of Love (Alan Brown 2004), Omagh (Pete Travis -2004, Childstar (Don McKellar 2004), First Amendment Project: 'Poetic License' (Mario Van Peebles 2004)) , First Amendment Project 'Fox vs. Franken' (Chris Hegedus and Nick Doob - 2004) and First Amendment Project: 'Some Assembly Required' (John Walter - 2004).
