Actor Chris Penn was found dead Tuesday at his condominium in Santa Monica. Local police say they found the actor's body at approximately 4:00 PM PST. They did not suspect foul play in the actor's death. Penn was 40-years old.
Mara Buxbaum, the publicist for Penn's older brother, Oscar winning actor Sean Penn, issued a statement saying that 'the Penn family would appreciate the media's respect of their privacy during this difficult time.'
Penn's acting career included appearances in films like 'All the Right Moves,' 'Starsky and Hutch,' 'Footloose' 'Mulholland Falls,' 'Rumble Fish,' and 'Rush Hour.' He also played Nice Guy Eddie Cabot in the 1992 Quentin Tarantino crime drama 'Reservoir Dogs.'
His next film, 'The Darwin Awards,' is scheduled to make its world premier at the Sundance Film Festival next week. He also was the voice of Officer Eddie Pulaski in the video game 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.'
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is pending.
