New York, Feb. 14, 2006 – New Yorkers didn’t exactly come out in droves to be served free Diet Dr. Pepper by Nicole Richie. Despite clearing space for the masses at the two Greenwich Village Pepper stations - one at Astor Place and the other on 6th Avenue – there was no big rush, and only a few dozen sodas were given out in total. More passersby wondered what was going on than actually lined up for a sample, and one heckler drew boos and giggles by shouting, “She’s ugly!” as he walked on by.
Queen of the best-dressed lists, Nicole got into her role by swathing herself in Pepper-colored fur.
