Scott Stapp, the former lead singer of the rock group Creed was arrested for allegedly being drunk at Los Angeles International Airport.
Stapp was arrested on Saturday afternoon at 6:00 PM according to airport spokesman Tom Winfrey.
Police booked Stapp and released him on $250 bail later on Saturday. He was charged with public intoxication.
The arrest came just one day after Stapp was married. According to a report on 'People' magazine's Web site, the singer had married former Miss New York, Jaclyn Nesheiwat, Friday night in Miami. The 32-year-old singer's seven-year-old son Jagger served as best man.
Stapp won a Grammy with Creed in 2000 for the song, 'With Arms Wide Open.' He released his first solo album, 'The Great Divide,' in 2005.
In an interview with the Associated Press in November, Stapp indicated he was often capable of self-destructive behavior.
'Just when pressure will mount, I'll go do something stupid, just to blow off some steam and end up hurting myself,' he admitted. 'Just like being stupid and getting in trouble, I'll beat up somebody, get drunk and act like an idiot and get out of control.'
