New York, August 9, 2006 – We don’t know what kids in Ukraine are wearing these days, but Mark Ecko, the guy who practically invented the “urban” look, helped out orphans there by sponsoring the Tikvah Drive for Life, a benefit for a children's home.
Held at the Chelsea Piers Golf Club in Manhattan, guests smacked golf balls with varying levels of skill. The non-golfer set included rapper 50 Cent, who valiantly attempted to putt. One of his drives was so off-target that the ball hit a photographer; another time 50 simply gave up and tossed the golf ball with his hand.
But it’s the spirit that counts, and Fitty was in a great mood, laughing, joking around and patiently posing for photos with attendees. 50’s lack of golfing skills didn’t prevent him from showing pretty ladies how the game is played.
