John Travolta and Jennifer Lopez have been named to star in a new film version of the 1980s hit show 'Dallas.' The film will be directed by Gurinder Chadha, the British filmmaker best known for 'Bend It Like Beckham.'
Travolta will play oil magnate J.R. Ewing, the role popularized by Larry Hagman on the television show. Lopez will play his wife, Sue Ellen. Additional casting has not been finalized.
The movie is expected to begin filming in October. A late 2007 release date is expected.
