Child welfare officials from Los Angeles County have found no negligence or wrongdoing by Britney Spears and her husband, Kevin Federline in connection with their child's head injury.
Apparently, the child fell from his high chair and injured his head. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The couple's baby, Sean Preston, is just six months old.
The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services sent an investigator to the home of Spears and Federline as a routine matter to investigate the incident.
According to Spears' lawyer, Martin Singer, the couple will not be investigated further.
'While there was an automatic report by the hospital to the Department of Children and Family Services, DCFS immediately responded and determined there was no problem and no reason to open a formal investigation,' Singer said. 'They determined that the parents were not involved in any injury and that nothing improper was done within the home.'
This is the second incident involving Spears and her son this year. Earlier, Spears was seen driving with the baby on her lap and not in his car seat. The pop star claimed she panicked when confronted by hostile paparazzi.
