Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal and her longtime boyfriend Peter Sarsgaard are engaged and expecting their first child according to a story in the latest issue of 'People' magazine.
Sarsgaard's publicist confirmed the story but would not give any details as to when the couple planned to marry or when the baby was due. Gyllenhaal, 28, has been dating Sarsgaard, 35, for more than four years.
She is best known for her work in 'Secretary,' 'Donnie Darko' and 'Mona Lisa Smile.' She is the sister of 'Brokeback Mountain' star Jake Gyllenhaal.
Sarsgaard has appeared in 'Boys Don't Cry,' 'Kinsey' and 'Jarhead.'
The couple also made a film together in 2003 called 'In God's Hands.' The low-budget film was produced by Steven Soderbergh but was never released.
This will be the first marriage and the first child for both Gyllenhaal and Sarsgaard.
