The United States military has announced the death of five more U.S. soldiers on Tuesday.
Three of the soldiers were killed Tuesday in a roadside bombing. The military would not say what the precise location of the incident was. The soldiers were members of the Multinational Division Baghdad.
Fighting in Anbar province claimed the life of another American on Monday. The soldier from the 2/28th Brigade Combat Team died on Monday from wounds suffered in fighting over the weekend.
The fifth American died on Sunday. He was a member of the 130th Engineer Brigade and died when his vehicle was hit by a blast near Balad. Another soldier was wounded according to reports by the U.S. military.
According to a count by the Associated Press, at least 2,359 members of the U.S. military have been killed in Iraq since President Bush's invasion of that country in March 2003.
