New York, September 27 – Although he’s a very close friend of Catherine Keener, one of the stars of "Capote", our hopes for a Brad Pitt sighting went unfulfilled at the New York Film Festival premiere on Tuesday. Keener has reportedly split from her husband of fifteen years, Dermot Mulroney, but declined to comment on it at the screening. Our gossiping hearts raced a little when Keener arrived on the arm of a handsome guy; but it turned out he wasn’t a hot date, but rather "Capote" director Bennett Miller. And just before the movie was to begin, we sharpened our pencils to dish about these freewheeling Hollywood types when Keener’s newly-ex, Dermot Mulroney, dashed in with Amanda Peet on his arm. But then our scoop was deflated by the news that Peet and Mulroney are merely working on a film together.
