'Gonzo Journalist' Hunter S. Thompson's final written note was published by 'Rolling Stone' magazine. Thompson, who committed suicide in February, wrote the note on February 16, just days before taking his own life. 'Rolling Stone' had been publishing Thompson's work for years before his death.
The note read, 'No More Games. No More Bombs. No More Walking. No More Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun--for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your old age. Relax--This won't hurt.'
The letter was left for Thompson's wife and was titled 'Football Season Is Over.' Shortly after writing it, Thompson shot himself four times inside his Aspen, Colorado home.
The writer, best known for writing works such as 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,' was later cremated and his ashes were shot out of a cannon by actor Johnny Depp as per Thompson's request.
