British tabloids are reporting that little known actor Daniel Craig will be the next to portray Ian Fleming's super spy James Bond on film. Craig would replace Pierce Brosnan in the role according to a report by the 'Daily Mail.'
There has been no official confirmation that Craig is indeed the choice to play agent 007. If he is indeed chosen, he would be the first blond haired actor to play Bond.
Craig is a relative unknown in the United States but is a popular actor in Britain. Craig has acknowledged that he has spoken to Bond producer Barbara Broccoli about assuming the role.
The next Bond film, 'Casino Royale' is in pre-production and is expected to be begin shooting early next year.
Broccoli is expected to make an official announcement shortly.
