McCartney's Next Gig: Outer Space

Just when you thought former Beatle Paul McCartney had done everything, Sir Paul finds a way to add something new to his lengthy list of accomplishments. Macca will now have a concert broadcast live into space.

McCartney will awaken astronauts on board the International Space Station Saturday morning with two songs played live during a concert in Anaheim, California and broadcast simultaneously to the two astronauts as a wake-up call on NASA-TV.

The first of the two songs will be the Beatles classic 'Good Day Sunshine' off the 'Revolver' LP. The second will be 'English Tea,' a song from his new CD 'Chaos and Creation in the Backyard.'

'I have a cup of tea in the morning, so it's something good to wake up to,' McCartney told the Associated Press.

McCartney said he was looking forward to his performance for astronauts Bill McArthur and Valery Tokarev.

'It'll be an out-of-space blast. Lots of puns intended,' McCartney joked to reporters.
