(New York) Scion’s Emerging Artists Tour will be back in Austin this weekend, for the first of two Audience Awards parties, showcasing Austin’s best up and coming talent!
Supporters are to encouraged logon to www.emergingartiststour.com/vote and vote for their favorite Austin DJ to determine who will be sent to Miami for the 2006 Winter Music Conference!
The first Austin Audience Awards party will be held on Friday, November 11th at club Barcelona, with performances by Austin’s own Toddy B. and J.A.M.O.N.
Scion’s Emerging Artists Tour has become known as the all-inclusive dance party, targeting no specific audience, but a versatile blend of individuals who like to dance, party, and well… dance! Audience Awards parties have lived up to this reputation as well as they are just another way to celebrate great local talent as they make their way to the top!
Voting for the 2005 Austin Audience Awards will begin on November 10th and end at midnight on November 26th on the Scion Emerging Artist Tour website, www.emergingartiststour.com/vote. The winner will be sent to
Miami for the 2006 WMC along with the winners from the following metropolitan locations: Denver, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Las Angeles, and Phoenix.

Todd Burgener is one of those rare people who do nothing less than put a smile on your face and light up a room. So it's no surprise that he has made himself an integral part of the Austin dance music scene. "Toddy-B" is the leading force behind promotions for Austin's premier promotion group and record label, Slow Motion Music. He is also a deep house guru, and has been playing great house all over the city for the past year, not only at his own events but as a guest at many others as well. He also handles the weekly DJ line-ups for the Slow Motion roster as well as future bookings in and outside of Austin.
For years he’s been a pillar in the Austin underground club scene spinning at various residencies and clubs. J.A.M.O.N. is a Fort Worth native, who grew up in Austin. He blends his deep gospel and Hip-hop background together to create an unforgettable sound of underground house music. J.A.M.O.N. opened for Derrick Carter (Chicago) in 2001, held down a residency called B.L.A.K.K. along with monthlies across Texas and has continued to be an inspiration and unique talent in Central Texas.
The next and final Austin Audience Awards party will take place next weekend, Saturday, November 19th at Austin club Firehouse with performances by local DJs Jason Jenkins, Johnny Invisible, and DJ Abe.
