The final 'Star Wars' film, 'Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith' has been released on DVD Tuesday to mostly positive reviews. The release means that all six of George Lucas' science fiction extravaganzas are now available on DVD.
The picture and sound quality of the DVD are excellent as expected. The DVD also contains numerous extras which 'Star Wars' fanatics are sure to enjoy.
Perhaps the most fascinating of these is called 'Within a Minute: The Making of Episode III.' This 78 minute bonus feature depicts the creation and development it took to bring a one minute segment of the duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker in the film. It is chronicles the scene from its conception by George Lucas to the final product. It took a mere 70,441 hours to create this 60 second film.
Six deleted scenes are also included in the DVD package, including one which shows Yoda's arrival on Dagobah where he is found by Luke Skywalker in 'The Empire Strikes Back.'
The release of the final chapter of the six-part 'Star Wars' saga has many people involved with the project excited. 'People will be able to watch it as one linear story, which was George's original intention,' says Hayden Christensen, who plays Anakin Skywalker in the film.
The DVD, out in time for the holiday rush, is expected to be one of the top seller's of the year.
