Angelina Jolie is considered one of the sexiest women alive by supermarket tabloids and friend and 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' co-star Brad Pitt is considered one of the most desirable men. They recently co-starred together in a film and rumors have swirled around tabloids and gossip columns that Pitt and Jolie are a couple. Despite that, Jolie has flatly denied that the two are anything more than friends.

In a candid interview with 'Marie Claire' magazine, Jolie explained why she is not interested in a romantic relationship with Pitt. 'To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not, could not, look at myself in the morning if I did that,' Jolie said.

Tabloid coverage of their 'romance' has bordered on the extreme. One tabloid even admitted to combining two separate photos of Pitt and Jolie to make it appear as if they were together on the beach with Jolie's adopted son. In reality, the two photos were taken on different continents.

In the interview, Jolie indicated she is not seriously dating anybody right now. To be seriously involved with somebody, the 30-year-old actress says the man has to be a perfect father for her four-year-old son, Maddox.

'I am not dating anybody,' Jolie explained. 'I think the next man I get involved with would have to become Mad's father, and that's a high bar as far as I'm concerned. I'm not anticipating that coming any time soon.'

Instead of seriously relationships, Jolie said she has 'intimate friendships' with lovers she refers to as 'maintenance men.' The twice divorced Jolie would not specify who they were except to say Pitt was not among them.

So, for now, Angelina is denying any romantic ties to Brad Pitt. That probably won't stop the tabloids from writing about them, but that's another story...
