Los Angeles, May 6 – At the Project A.L.S. gala on Friday, we were kind of surprised when Christine Taylor told us she’s seven months pregnant, because she sure doesn’t look that far along. (Britney Spears already looks much bigger at just a few months along.) Christine was beaming, and husband Ben Stiller kept placing his hand on her belly.

People in the press try different tactics to get celebrities’ attention, and one enterprising red carpet denizen got Jack Black’s by pointing to a photographer and saying, “This woman needs a hug!” The mortified victim protested, but to no avail; Black gave her a big bear hug, and she started laughing so hard that she was crying. Black rubbed the photographer's head, and told her it’s OK to release feelings.

Others at the Westin Century Plaza - Tea Leoni, Gina Gershon, Marisa Tomei, and Jason Bateman - all retained their dignity.
