Las Vegas, May 1 – It was so hot at the Michael Douglas & Friends celebrity golf tournament that Catherine Zeta Jones said she’s thinking of doing it in Alaska next year. Heat is expected when the verdant green links have been carved out of the Las Vegas desert. In fact, the hills in the background were dry and brown, thanks to local kids who had ridden their quads onto the course, ripping up the greens. Despite the heat, Zeta Jones was animated, high-fiving her teammates and jumping every time she sank a putt. Also hitting a few for charity were Teri Hatcher, Martin Sheen, Matt Lauer, Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora, and Alice Cooper, who, of course, had to wear black, even in the hot sunshine.
