The Reverend Jerry Falwell is back in Lynchburg General Hospital just one month after being released after treatment for pneumonia. The cause of his hospitalization was not being made public.
'I can tell you he is in the hospital and he is resting, and that is all I know,' said Jessica Tucker, a spokeswoman for Jerry Falwell's Ministries.
The 71-year-old Falwell is the founder of the political group 'The Moral Majority' which pioneered the mobilization of conservative Christians into a political movement during the 1980s. He is also the founder of Liberty College where he serves as chancellor.
Falwell was hospitalized in February and March for pneumonia and spent part of his 13 day hospital stay on a ventilator to help him breathe.
Falwell did preach at his church on Easter Sunday and attended a NCAA tournament game for the Liberty University ladies basketball team in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Saturday. Liberty lost to LSU 90-48.
There was no official word from the hospital as to Falwell's condition.
