'Friends' star Jennifer Aniston has officially filed for a divorce from Brad Pitt Friday, citing 'irreconcilable differences.' The couple had separated in January.
As part of her court papers, Aniston requested the use of her maiden name and that Pitt not receive any spousal support. The couple were married in 2000 and have no children.
Rumors continue to swirl that the couple got divorced because they could not agree on having a family.
Pitt, 41, starred in such films as 'Fight Club,' 'Legends of the Fall,' 'Ocean's Eleven' and 'Meet Joe Black.'
The 36-year-old Aniston has also launched a movie career after the success of 'Friends' and has starred in films like 'The Good Girl,' 'Bruce Almighty' and 'Along Came Polly.'
Both Pitt and Aniston are still co-owners of Plan B, a production company. That partnership may take a little bit longer to sort out.
