Saw 2: There will be a sequel to last year's sleeper horror indie hit, Saw, and it will be here in time for Halloween 2005. Lion's Gate Films and Twisted Pictures will bring the film to our screens with debut feature helmer Darren Bousman directing. Gregg Hoffman will produce.
The Serpent and the Eagle: Ron Howard will direct The Serpent and the Eagle for Universal Pictures and his Imagine Entertainment prod. company. The film focusses on how the Spanish conqueror Hernando Cortez plundered Mexico aided by an Aztec princess-turned-slave. Brian Helgeland (Man On Fire) will re-write the screenplay. Howard's next project is The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks.
The Santa Clause 3: Yes, there will be a Santa Clause 3, and it will be directed Michael Lembeck (Connie and Carla). The film will star Tim Allen and should kick off shooting this November for a late 2006 release. In the third film Santa, aka Scott Calvin, struggles to keep his new family happy while battling Jack Frost, who is trying to take over Christmas. Ed Decter and John Strauss are writing the script.
