The church blessing immediately following the town hall wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles will be televised live on British television.
The wedding is scheduled for April 8. The blessing, formally called the Service of Prayer and Dedication in Saint George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, will be delivered by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of the worldwide Anglican Church.
Approximately 750 people are expected to attend the blessing live, including the Queen and most senior members of the royal family. The Queen has announced she will not attend the actual civil wedding service while will take place at town hall earlier on April 8. Only 30 people are invited guests to witness that ceremony. The ceremony is a far cry from the overt pageantry that was a part of Charles's wedding to Lady Diana Spencer nearly 25 years ago.
