Russia launched an unmanned M-52 spacecraft Progress' which will resupply the international space station. Since the United States suspended its space shuttle program after the Columbia disaster two years ago, Russian cargo ships have been the sole way to resupply the station.
The cargo ship contains food, water, fuel, research equipment and other valuable supplies for the two man crew of the station, American astronaut Leroy Chiao and Russian cosmonaut Salizhan Sharipov. The pair has been on the space station since last October.
If all continues to go according to plan, the cargo ship will arrive at the international space station tomorrow.
