Starbucks and Bob Dylan Team Up To Release Rare Bootlegs

The folk roots of legendary singer/songwriter Bob Dylan will be a prominent feature at Starbucks Coffee stores around the country. The coffee chain announced on Tuesday that it was going to distribute a CD with 10 songs of Dylan singing at the Gaslight Cafe in New York back in 1962.

The release will be called 'Bob Dylan: Live at the Gaslight 1962' will be available at Starbucks stores in the United States and Canada beginning on August 30.

Included in the new CD are the earliest known recordings of 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall' and 'Don't Think Twice, It's All Right,' as well as folk standards 'Barbara Allen' and 'The Cuckoo.'

The recordings date back to the folk revival of the early 1960s and will feature an all acoustic performance by Dylan.

Bootlegs of the recordings have been distributed by collectors for years but this will be the first time the performance will be available in a digitally remastered form. The release coincides with a film about Dylan by Martin Scorsese called 'No Direction Home.'
