Tom Cruise Will Not Press Charges on Water Squirters

Actor Tom Cruise has decided to drop his complaint against four employees of a British comedy show who squired him with water from a fake microphone in London earlier this week.

According to British law, however, the charges are not automatically dropped.

A spokesman for the London police said, 'We will take into account the victim's views, but as of today the four men are still on police bail and are due to report back to police on July 4.'

The four arrested men worked for BBC Channel 4. The station issued an apology to Cruise for the incident, saying, 'The stunt was intended to be light-hearted rather than malicious and we would apologize to Mr. Cruise for any offense caused.'

For Tom Cruise at least, it seems the issue is forgotten or in other words, no harm, no foul.
