In post-trial interviews, three of the jurors in the Michael Jackson child molestation case announced that they do believe the singer has molested young boys in the past. They voted to acquit Jackson because they did not believe the accuser in this case was one of the victims.
Ray Hultman, one of the jurors, told the Associated Press that he believes Jackson 'probably has molested boys at some point.'
Hultman indicated he was initially inclined to vote guilty but was convinced during deliberations that there was reasonable doubt about the accuser’s story.
Jackson was acquitted on all 10 charges he faced of sexually molesting a then 13-year-old cancer survivor after allegedly serving him alcohol. Jackson was also acquitted of conspiring to hold the boy and his family at his Neverland ranch against their will.
The juror’s statements clearly highlight the difference between a not guilty verdict and a belief that the defendant is innocent.
The question that must be asked is: if Hultman’s suspicions are correct, will we see more charges against Jackson in the future or will the self proclaimed 'King of Pop' be able to make significant changes in his life?
